Early Romanticism

Smiling dimly, she stepped inside my day dream.

She swept me away so easily; the way her hand brushed against my face, like a breeze against an empty tree.

My endeavor to love something so flawless and genuine began as her words traveled to become the veins against my heart.

Her lips lay close then locked onto mine, and forever held into place like a tightly sealed private letter I have been waiting for all my life.

Of my desires, I am diving in the sea of our endless heartbeats that suddenly stopped in time as the moment  rushed in where I tell you, “I Love You”.

Your eyes as bright as our future, we became as calm as the night.

The times we had
Oh, when the wind would blow with rain and snow
Were not all bad
We put our feet just where they had, had to go
Never to go
